Willy’s Mexican FajitaTM

On self-guided tours of Mexico, Bill and his wife often stopped at small restaurants and roadside cafes. There was usually only one entree on the menu, deliciously spiced meats and steamed onions wrapped in softly fried tortillas. They quickly learned that what they were eating was what fajita was actually supposed to taste like.

With the growth of Tex-Mex restaurant chains, fajita flavoring has spread rapidly in popularity. Home cooks, until recently, were offered only powder packets of fajita flavorings at stores. These packaged powders varied, some being especially awful. None were genuine. Bill made his own with authentic ingredients, omitting the chemicals and much of the salt. This was re-formulated to make it easier to prepare, shelf stable and to make it taste great. Stirred into hot food, Willy’s Fajita makes a smooth, spicy and aromatic sauce that thickens to evenly coat and cling to any foods you can sautee for a last minute meal. Traditional fajita spices give the easily recognized flavor and bouquet that has popularized fajita worldwide.

This product can be positioned as a marinade or barbecue sauce, or it can be positioned with other Mexican foods.

Ingredients: Cider Vinegar, Water, Spices, Corn Starch, Salt, Sugar.

Directions: Enough to flavor 4-½ pounds of food. Shake well. Sauté food until nearly cooked. Add about 1/3 cup Willy’s Mexican Fajitatm for each pound of food. Continue sautéing until your food is cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly. Refrigerate up to two weeks after opening.
